How many times have you questioned if something was real or not just because others had different viewpoints? How many times did you keep quiet for fear of being judged? How many times did you want to act upon your intuition but did not because of fear of what others might think? I know I did in my early twenties. I was afraid to be different and odd. I wanted to be liked by colleagues and friends, so I kept my observations of other world realities to myself. This hidden vulnerability not only hurt my own spiritual growth but prevented me from serving others I could have helped.
In my late twenties I finally accepted my truth: To honor who I was and my abilities by being visible. I knew some people in my inner circle would reject my beliefs and might even dismiss the relationship out of fear. Coming out was scary but it was time to be authentic.
People come and go in your life. The ones who love, honor and celebrate YOU are your cheerleaders, even if they do not agree with you. It's okay. What is important is acknowledging what makes you special and rising above the judgements of others.
Please learn from my early mistakes: If you are honest with yourself, you would say, "I know what I know", and not question your intuitiveness just because others think it's hogwash or bull. Here's the truth: We all possess inner knowing. Each one of us is intuitive or psychic, just in different degrees. Most will say, "It's my imagination" or "It's just common sense". Yes, it probably is, AND so much more. Our imagination is inspired information. Our higher mind speaks to us through feelings, symbols, dialogue, signs and visualizations. Our wisdom will find a way to get our attention to what clearly matters most. Whether it is to warn, heal, or support us, our inner knowing is everyone's God given birthright, a gift to help us on our earth walk.
Ask yourself, "What is my truth?" "Am I being true to my convictions and beliefs?" "Am I afraid to own my voice?" "What stops me from living my purpose?" When you are calm and able to go within, genuinely ask your higher mind for the answers. Perhaps you will be surprised by what you hear. Maybe you already know your truth but resist moving forward. Once again, ask your higher mind for guidance. You will always be shown what is for the highest good for self and others.
So now you have a choice. Vulnerability is actually a blessing when you take emotional risks to be genuine. You will experience great love, and yes, great lessons as well. For it takes courage. Most of us wear an armor of protection for we fear being vulnerable. However, can you imagine how different your life will be if you come out of your closet? Godspeed.
