Our lives are so busy and demanding at times. There seems to be little time due to a magnitude of pressures we put upon ourselves. Many feel the urge and need to produce results, whether for work or creativity. Some juggle caretaking responsibilities while handling a full-time job. There are parents who raise children, work at home and/or run a business, and tend to multiple errands. We think we have created a life of excellence but to what expense? Work-Life Balance is the goal, but is it really attainable? Yes, it is, if you use your powerful mind to create the balance.
A client in hypnosis discovered she was contributing all her time and energy to work without recognizing her need to socialize and form meaningful relationships.
She realized this imbalance created a deep loneliness that screamed to be acknowledged. Her higher mind showed her she could have both; love and work by letting go of self-expectations and making playtime with friends a priority as well. In time she shifted her driven actions to include loving relationships. She acquired joy by creating balance.
What about balance of power in your romantic relationship? Does one make all the decisions or is there mutual cooperation? Do you share in the responsibilities of parenting and maintenance of a house? Do both of you contribute your skills and finances and feel comfortable the way it is?
My family used a handmade talking stick to heal disagreements in our home. I found a large wooden stick in the forest that one could use as a walking stick. I sandpapered and decorated it with paint and feathers. My son also helped by adding finishing touches. When there was friction and disharmony, we all agreed to have a "powwow" in the living room at a designated time. It was understood that whoever held the talking stick had uninterrupted time to "say what they needed to say." No one was allowed to speak until they were finished. This talking stick brought our family back in balance and harmony many times throughout the years.
Think about your friendships? Is there balance with reciprocation? If you are giving more than you are receiving with most of your intimate friendships, then it is time to go within. Ask your higher mind the questions that you most need to know. You are entitled to love in its purest form. It is your birth right. Ask how best to receive a reciprocated friendship; one where you are heard and understood because you in turn, deeply listen. A friendship that celebrates you for who you are because you are their greatest cheerleader. A relationship that is inclusive because you enjoy the pleasure of each other's company. A feeling of acceptance and happiness resides within your heart because the connection is genuine and balanced between you.
When you are centered in your thoughts; being mindful brings balance and harmony to all aspects of your life. By going within and finding out, you create the desired outcomes. Inner knowing inspires the action to create what matters most.
